Kalea DeYoung, CFO
Founder & Principal
Kalea founded Kai Crest after more than 27 years in accounting, tax, and financial leadership, including years as Chief Financial Officer for complex multi-entity organizations. She has worked alongside business owners, executives, and leadership teams across a wide range of industries, helping them see their finances clearly, strengthen their operations, and make decisions with confidence.
Her expertise runs deep in the territory where established businesses live: multi-entity structures, construction accounting, real estate investment, acquisitions, financing strategy, and cash flow. She holds a B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Linfield College. Kai Crest provides bookkeeping, controller, and CFO advisory services for growing businesses.
What sets Kalea apart is how she works. She is practical and collaborative, and cares less about delivering reports than about helping owners understand what the numbers mean and what to do next. Her goal is for owners to become stronger, more confident leaders of their own companies.
When she's not working with clients, Kalea is with her family, scuba diving, dancing, or out enjoying the island life Maui makes possible.
Jenny Gomez, Accounting Operations Manager
Founder
Jenny brings more than 30 years of accounting and financial operations experience to Kai Crest. She has supported business owners across healthcare, retail, wholesale distribution, construction, real estate investment, and professional services, including nearly a decade running the accounting operations of a complex multi-entity organization spanning construction, development, real estate investment, electrical contracting, and car rentals.
Her specialty is the machinery behind clean books: accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, cash management, vendor administration, and reconciliations. She is known for building dependable systems and for follow-through, so critical financial processes get done right and on time.
Jenny believes strong accounting processes are the foundation of good decisions. At Kai Crest, she keeps the financial flow of each client's business organized and under control, so owners can stay focused on running and growing their companies.
